Do this, install ubuntu or any flavor of linux) on a computer, or a partiotion. Use firefox with ABP (add blocker pro) and I have no issues at all with intrusive adds, viruses, etc....
I also do not have to run a firewall or any anti-virus crap.....plus this is on a 4+ year old ($250 compaq) laptop.
I'm running Kubuntu 12.x with Firefox and Ad Block Plus........ I should probably update the AdBlock. I think it might be left over from when I ran Windows several years ago.Quote:
